Fair Copyright for Canada

About the Vancouver Fair Copyright Coalition

We are Canadian artists, consumers and ordinary citizens who believe that Canadian copyright law must be fair and representative of the needs of all Canadians. We hold meetings, organize events and help spread awareness about what copyright reform means to people in all walks of life.

For announcements about upcoming meetings and events, you can join our Facebook group or announce mailing list. When copyright is on the political agenda, we often hold meetings in Metro Vancouver. New participants are always welcome.

If you wish to be involved in our online discussions, you should check out our wiki and our discuss mailing list.

We are affiliated with a number of other organizations, including VanLUG, the Vancouver Linux Users’ Group.

We are only one of over 20 Fair Copyright for Canada chapters across the country. Chapters organize meetings and events, explain the impact of the law, and plan strategy. If you’re meeting your MP, for example, they can provide advice, talking points, and possible other members to go with you. If you are not in the Vancouver area, you can find your nearest chapter at www.faircopyrightforcanada.ca.
